Etihad Airways Policy for Changes & Cancellations

  • Refundable Tickets: Refundable tickets allow passengers to cancel their flight and receive a refund, minus any applicable cancellation fees. Refunds are usually processed to the original form of payment, and the amount refunded will depend on the fare conditions.

  • Non-Refundable Tickets: For non-refundable tickets, cancellations generally result in no refund, but passengers may be eligible for credit towards a future booking or a partial refund based on the fare class. Etihad charges a cancellation fee, which varies depending on the fare conditions.

  • Changes to Booking: Passengers can make changes to their bookings for a fee, which depends on the ticket type and fare conditions. The fee is typically lower if the changes are made well in advance of the flight, but higher fees apply closer to the departure date. For changes, passengers will need to contact Etihad's customer service or make amendments online through the official website.

  • Rebooking and Credits: If a passenger cannot fly due to unforeseen circumstances, Etihad may offer the option to rebook the flight for a future date. Etihad's flexibility for rebooking also depends on the ticket type and availability of seats. The airline often provides travel credit in the form of a voucher or certificate for future bookings.

  • Refund Process: For refund requests, Etihad provides an online tool where passengers can submit requests. Refund processing times may vary depending on the payment method and fare conditions.
